In Hwange National Park in Zimbabwe the dry season has already arrived. Although the solar pumps of the Bumbusi South pond have been performing for several years, their efficiency is beginning to decline. It is increasingly difficult for herds of elephants to drink there.
The association wishes to drill a new borehole in the Bumbusi South pond, and would like to install a new pump in order to obtain a better flow. Today, only a few thousand liters of water flow from it per day, which is too little for the welfare of the animals in the region.
The association has called on the Le PAL Nature Foundation to help finance this new project. This project is close to our Foundation's heart since it will allow the preservation of local wildlife. This is why she made a generous donation of €10,500 to the association. Thanks to this sum, a new drilling and pumping of the pond of Bumbusi South will be able to be carried out.
