10,000 African rhinos have disappeared due to poaching over the past 10 years. The country with the most poaching in the world, South Africa, is home to 80% of the world’s rhinos.
Between 2013 and 2017, 1,000 rhinos are killed each year. There are believed to be only 3,529 white rhinos and 268 black rhinos left in Kruger National Park!
On a regular basis, patrols are carried out, on foot, by vehicle or by plane, by the forest guards. Even as poaching decreases, the anti-poaching unit continues their effort to protect the rhinos. Help them protect the rhinos by supporting the association!
