It was introduced to Europe in 1854 !
In its natural habitat, this majestic conifer often grows to a height of more than 30 meters, with a trunk approaching 1.20 m in diameter.
It has an upright, conical shape. Its drooping branches form supple curtains of fairly dark green, even bluish-green, foliage.
Over time, it has given rise to numerous cultivars, including a very wide selection of smaller plants that are better suited to the size of our gardens.
