13th Edition of Le PAL NATURE Foundation Day: A Celebration of Global Biodiversity!

Le PAL NATURE FOUNDATION celebrates global biodiversity: a resounding success!

As every year, the Le PAL NATURE FOUNDATION held its major annual event in honor of global biodiversity. This now-unmissable gathering attracted a large number of visitors and helped raise awareness of the importance of species conservation. Alongside 26 committed associations and 227 volunteers, the Foundation's team answered participants’ questions while offering numerous activities and themed booths.

A diverse turnout

The event was rich in encounters and discoveries. In addition to the conservation associations present, visitors could explore the Sustainable Village, an area dedicated to ecological solutions, featuring 31 committed organizations. The Little Market, in partnership with Allier Bourbonnais, brought together 10 local creators, and 2,232 bracelets were sold. Supplier Néocombine made a lasting impression with live screen printing of 80 souvenir postcards.

Promising results

This year’s edition recorded 3,787 entries, generating nearly €77,500 in profit. Several initiatives contributed to this total:

  • Face painting by volunteers: €578

  • Auction: €3,158

  • Mobile raffle, enthusiastically supported by animal caretakers: €1,979

  • Sale of 100 plants by the gardeners' team: €660

Strong partnerships and committed volunteers

Visitors also had the chance to meet six partners at the Nature Space near the elephant area and enjoy 40 paninis at the park’s exit as part of the fight against food waste. Many volunteers contributed to the success of the event, including nearly 100 middle school students from the EDD section of Anne de Beaujeu Middle School, as well as students from several schools, notably the Animal Keeper School of Sury-le-Comtal, and the Anna Rodier and François Rabelais high schools with their innovative project “Feathered Nest Boxes.”
